In 1985 the baron successfully expanded the room for development of Lafite by purchasing other chateaux and foreign grape plantations. Among the chateaux purchased by the baron, the most famous one is Chateau Ramonet in Bordeaux

Chateau Ramonet is the broadest wine yard situated in Bordeaux between Garonne River and Bordogne River. In the official claffisication in Bordeaux in 1855, it ranked one of the 15 chateaux in the second class. Chateau Ramonet was first established in the 19th century, run by the Charmolues for nearly 100 years. This complete and uniform and beautiful land has produced the most popular wine in Bordeaux for 150 years. Chateau Ramonet has changed several times since it was purchased by Baron Eric. The wine brewed is more mellow and delicate, with a new look taking on and the quality reaching the second top level.
